Two wanted for rape nabbed

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two persons facing rape charges were arrested in separate operations Sunday, May 1, 2022.
The Ivisan police nabbed Richard Apsay, 35, of Brgy. Ondoy Ivisan, Capiz late Sunday afternoon at his house for the crime of statutory rape.
Roxas City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 14 Judge Faustino Roxas issued the arrest warrant on April 22, 2022. Apsay was not allowed to post bail.
The suspect was charged for allegedly raping his minor niece months ago. He is presently detained at Ivisan police station.
Meanwhile, police in Pres. Roxas, Capiz arrested a 43-year-old man of Brgy. Cabugcabug, President Roxas for the crime of rape also on Sunday morning.
Ericson Burgos Dador of Brgy. Poblacion did not resist when the police served the warrant of arrest for violation of Republic Act 8353 (The Anti-Rape Law of 1997).
The warrant was issued by Roxas City RTC Branch 18 Judge Ignacio Alajar on April 26, 2022.
Dador, who was not allowed to post bail, is detained at President Roxas PNP.
