BACOLOD City – Two persons died in separate gun attacks in Negros Occidental in the past three days.
In Candoni town, Jemuel Prasio Sr., 64, of Barangay Manlocahoc, Sipalay City was killed by an unidentified man while he was sitting alone on a bench by the roadside of Sitio Tigmaya, Barangay Gatuslao, police records indicated.
The victim was reportedly drunk when the assailant shot him by an unknown firearm, causing his immediate death. The gunman fled.
The following day, Rodel Resaba, 36, of Barangay Zone 1, Murcia town was shot dead by two unidentified men on a motorcycle at Barangay Salvacion early Saturday.
Initial investigation said that the victim was riding a motorcycle along with his friend when they were waylaid by the perpetrators.
The assailants allegedly accused the victim of a previous mistake and shot him by an unknown firearm, a police report said.
The perpetrators fled while the victim was declared dead at a hospital.
