ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two residents here are facing illegal drug charges following their arrest in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the police at Brgy. Culilang, Pres. Roxas, Capiz Friday last week.
Ma. Amicel Capriros Vergara, 33, of Barangay Lawaan; and Francisco Albaladejo III, 29, of Philippine Railway Street also failed a drug test after their arrest.
Police Corporal Elmer Buriel Jr, police investigator, said Vergara and Albaladejo were collared by members of the Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit (PPDEU), President Roxas Municipal Police Station (MPS), Pilar MPS, and Pontevedra MPS.
Recovered from the duo were four sachets of suspected shabu, a cellphone, P2,000 marked money, and a motorcycle.
Vergara and Albaladejo are presently in the custody of Pres. Roxas Municipal Police Station while charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002) will be filed today, May 2, against them before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
