Two men who allegedly robbed a lending company collector were arrested afternoon of February 17 in Badiangan, Iloilo.
Erwin Catedral, 40, farmer and resident of Barangay Talaba, Badiangan and Ariel Galgo, 35, of Barangay Cabangaan, Badiangan, were arrested around 4PM Wednesday during a hot pursuit operation.
John Lloyd Relativo, 20, micro finance officer/collector of ASA Philippines Foundation, identified Catedral and Galgo as the persons who robbed him around 11:30AM at Cabangaan village.
Relativo, who is a resident of Argao, Cebu but temporarily residing at West Mina, Iloilo, said the two took away the PHP54,000 collection money and his personal cash totaling PHP1,100.
Relativo said he came from the nearby Agusipan village when the incident happened. He was driving his Suzuki Smash motorcycle when the two suspects waylaid him at Cabangaan village.
The duo poked a gun at him before forcibly taking his sling bag. They immediately fled to an undisclosed direction.
Relativo initially identified the suspects through photos shown to him by the police.
Catedral and Galgo are now detained and will be charged accordingly.
