BACOLOD City – Two persons died after they figured in separate motorcycle accidents in Negros Occidental over the weekend.
In Hinoba-an town, Jose Lecera, 43, of Barangay Talacagay was on his way home when his motorcycle was believed to have slipped on the road.
Police Major Ramel Bustamante, Hinoba-an town police chief, said that Lecera was drunk when he insisted on driving home on Saturday, Feb. 25.
Bustamante said the victim might have crashed into the steel barrier on the roadside during the accident.
The victim was taken to Eleuterio T. Decena Memorial Hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival.
Bustamante said the victim came from a benefit dance in Barangay Nabulao, Sipalay City before the accident.
