The suspects were identified only by their aliases: Jo, 20, a student from San Dionisio, and Paulo, 54, a farmer from Leon, Iloilo.
Jo was apprehended around 9 a.m. in Barangay Poblacion, San Dionisio by virtue of an arrest warrant issued on August 26, 2025, by the Regional Trial Court Branch 66 in Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.
No bail was recommended for Jo’s temporary liberty.
Police said Jo is listed as the third most wanted person in Iloilo province.
At 10:15 a.m. the same day, operatives from the Leon Municipal Police Station arrested Paulo in Barangay Poblacion, Leon.
Paulo is facing four counts of rape in relation to Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
The arrest warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 5 in Iloilo City on August 22, 2025.
The court also denied bail for Paulo’s provisional release.
He is listed as the fourth most wanted person in the province.

“The arrest of these Most Wanted Persons is a clear manifestation of our unyielding commitment to protect our people and ensure that justice is served,” Ligan said.
