Two rape suspects nabbed

Two fugitives facing separate rape charges were arrested Sunday.
Both Edwin Elbao and Rodmark Pacsial are on the most wanted lists of their respective towns in Iloilo province.
Elbao, 41, was arrested around 9 am at Sitio Igpuro, Barangay San Ambrosio, Igbaras, Iloilo.
The suspect is the No. 9 most wanted person of Igbaras.
Members of Igbaras Police Station collared Elbao by virtue of an arrest warrant for Criminal Case No. 3495 for the crime of rape (under Art. 266-A par. (a) of the Revised Penal Code) as amended by Republic Act 8353 (The Anti-Rape Law of 1997).
Judge Nelita Jesusa Bacaling issued the arrest warrant on Oct. 14, 2020. No bail was set for his temporary liberty.
Meanwhile, joint elements of Banate Police Station and Upi Police Station arrested Pacsial at Barangay Nuro, Upi in Maguindanao province.
Pacsial, 38, of Barangay Carmelo, Banate town, was apprehended by virtue of an arrest for rape by carnal knowledge under Criminal Case No. 2020-9432 in Art. 266-A par. 1 of the RPC as amended by RA 8353 in relation to RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act).
Judge Oscar Leo Billena of the Regional Trial Court 6 (RTC-6) Branch 66, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo, issued the arrest warrant on June 23, 2020.
No bail was recommended for his temporary freedom.
Pacsial is Banate’s number two most wanted man.
Both suspects are now detained for proper disposition of their case.
