Two rape suspects arrested

Two persons separately accused of rape were arrested on Dec. 1, 2019.
Police identified the suspects as Joemarie Armada, 35, of Barangay Barasalon, Janiuay, Iloilo and Rodel Quiazon, 38, of Barangay Pili, Panay, Capiz.
Armada was arrested 8:10 a.m. Sunday at Barangay Zone 1, Cabatuan, Iloilo while while Quiazon was collared 10 minutes later at Barangay Binantuan, Panay.
Members of Janiuay Police Station collared Armada, a laborer, for rape in Criminal Case No. 15-76936. Retired Regional Trial Court Judge Adriano Savillo issued the warrant on Jan. 5, 2006.
He was not allowed to post bail.
On the other hand, Panay Police Station officers nabbed Quiazon for three counts of rape in Criminal Case Nos. C- 386-19 to C-388-19.
RTC Branch 14 Judge Esperanza Isabel Poco-Deslate issued the warrants on Nov. 28, 2019 with no bail recommended.
The suspects are now detained in the two police stations.
