BACOLOD City – Two persons were found dead in separate areas in Negros Occidental in the past two days.
In Manapla town, Jesus Sevilleno was found with a head injury in a tricycle in Barangay Punta Salong last Monday.
Police Major Jaynick Bermudez, Manapla town police chief, said the victim was drunk and was reportedly involved in a mauling incident a day before he was found dead.
Bermudez said they subjected the victim to an autopsy to determine the cause of his death. He added they cannot yet say if there was foul play or if he died of natural causes.
The following day in Kabankalan City, Roberto Porras Jr., 33, of Barangay Oringao, was also found lifeless in Barangay 1.
Police Lieutenant Colonel John Joel Batusbatusan, Kabankalan City police chief, said the victim was eating in a burger shop when he suddenly fell from his chair.
Batusbatusan said the victim had a seizure and was declared dead on arrival at a hospital.
