Two fugitives listed as among Western Visayas’ most wanted individuals were arrested separately in Antique and Capiz provinces.
The suspects were identified as alias Manny, 49, of Barangay Bongbongan 1, Hamtic, Antique, and alias Eman, 27, of Barangay Bungsuan, Dumarao, Capiz.
Members of the Dumarao Municipal Police Station and the 2nd Capiz Provincial Mobile Force Company apprehended Eman in Barangay Poblacion Ilaya, Dumarao, Capiz, late afternoon on Feb. 3.
Eman was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for three counts of rape.
No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty.
Eman is listed as the seventh most wanted person in Western Visayas.
Meanwhile, members of the Hamtic Municipal Police Station arrested Manny on the afternoon of Feb. 4.
He was apprehended based on warrants of arrest for lascivious conduct and rape.
No bail was recommended for the rape charge, while a PHP200,000 bail was set for his lascivious conduct case.
According to records from the Police Regional Office (PRO)-6, 33 wanted individuals were arrested during a one-day operation.
