ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two municipal police stations were inaugurated on March 27, 2021 in Pontevedra and Sapian towns.
Police Colonel Julio Gustilo, Jr., provincial director of the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) led the blessings and inauguration of the Pontevedra Municipal Police Station in Barangay Malag-it, Pontevedra.
The building was constructed using the P7,143,559.69 budget of the Philippine National Police-Department of Public Work and Highways(PNP-DPWH) Convergence Program.
Gustilo thanked businessman Reynaldo Severo for supporting the police in Capiz.
The construction started on February 24, 2020 and was completed on November 19, 2020.
On the same day, the provincial director also inaugurated the P7.9-million Jamindan Municipal Police Station in Jamindan.
The blessing and inauguration were attended by Jamindan Mayor Mac Valdemar and Jamindan PNP police chief Major Cherry Visto.
Valdemar assured the support of the local government of Jamindan in the pursuit of peace and order of the town.
