BACOLOD City – Two police stations in Negros Occidental have new commanders since April 1, 2021.
Police Lieutenant Abegael Donasco, deputy information officer of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo), said that Police Major Rollie Pondevilla in Silay City and Police Lieutenant John Paul Tabujara in Murcia town were relieved from their posts last week.
Donasco said that Pondevilla, who already completed his two-year tenure as Silay City police chief, swapped posts with Police Lieutenant Robert Petate, chief of the Provincial Administrative and Resource Management Unit at Nocppo headquarters here.
Donasco said that Tabujara was transferred to E.B. Magalona town as officer-in-charge of the municipal police force, replacing Police Captain Joseth Catonina, who filed an optional retirement at the age of 53.
She said that Tabujara’s vacated post in Murcia town was assumed by Police Captain Jerald Muya, who just finished an advanced police course.
