Two nabbed in Roxas City drug bust

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two persons were arrested Friday morning in a drug buy-bust operation conducted at Sitio Crossing Brgy. Cagay here.

The Station Drug Enforcement Team of the Roxas City Police Station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Capiz nabbed Rocky Rizon, 27, and Rodiny Arabacan, 36, both residents of said place.

Recovered from the suspects were 10 plastic sachets of suspected shabu, P1,000 marked money, P1,000 fake money used in the bust, a cellphone, and several drug paraphernalia.

According to Police Master Sergeant Ramil Arcangeles, Roxas PNP spokesperson, the estimated street value of the recovered drugs is P180,000.

Arabacan was also arrested in a buy-bust operation in Santa Barbara, Iloilo few months ago but he was released after the case was dismissed.

Arabacan and Rizon are detained at the Roxas City police station while charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared against them.
