Two nabbed in drug sting

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two persons were arrested afternoon of Jan 30, 2019 in a drug buy-bust operation at Brgy. Banica here.

A joint team of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) arrested Gelland Gahupo, 23, of Sunshine Village in Barangay Banica here and Allen Zacharias, 18, of Barangay Gabuan also in Roxas City.

Recovered from the suspects were six sachets of suspected shabu, a cellphone, a motorcycle use in the transaction and P1,000 marked money.

According to the police, the suspects were under surveillance for several days before the buy-bust was conducted.

Charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 are being readied against the suspects who are now detained at the Roxas City police station.
