ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Two persons were arrested Tuesday afternoon in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of the Roxas City Police Station and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Capiz (PDEA) at Barangay Tanza here.
Police identified the suspects as Hussein Dumot, 38, a resident of said place, and John Michael Tupaz Diestro, 36, of Barangay Lawaan here.
Recovered from the suspects were 8 sachets of suspected illegal drugs; P500 marked money, a cellphone, and two motorcycles.
PMSg Ramil Arcangeles, Public Information Officer (PIO) of the Roxas City police station, said the two suspects were earlier arrested and detained at the police station for the same offense, but they were released after the case against them was dismissed by the court.
The two are presently detained at the Roxas City police station and will be charged again for violations of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
