ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two persons were collared in a police drug bust Thursday afternoon at Brgy. Tabuc in Pontevedra, Capiz.
The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and Pontevedra Municipal Police Station arrested Rowel Apruebo, 19, and Vince Leo Baduya, 19, both of Brgy. Dayao here.
Recovered from Apruebo and Baduya were 10 sachets of suspected illegal drugs, P500 marked money, a cellular phone and a motorcycle.
The police were about to turn over Baduya to the Department of Social Welfare and Development because he claimed he was a minor. But it was later confirmed that he was already 19 years old.
The police said they have been tracking the suspects for a month before their arrest.
Apruebo and Baduya are detained at the Pontevedra Municipal Police Station while charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) will be filed against them.
