Two nabbed in drug bust

ROXAS CITY Capiz – A drug surrenderee and a grade 12 student were arrested Aug 12, 2019 in separate police operations in Pres. Roxas and Panitan towns in Capiz.

The Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Pres. Roxas under Police Major Christopher Candelario and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit under Police Lt. Julius Balano collared Eduardo Bermejo Sr., 34, of Brgy. Marita Pres. Roxas in a drug buy-bust operation at Brgy. Lantangan, Pres. Roxas.

Recovered from Pres. Roxas were 7 sachets of suspected shabu, P500 marked money, and a cellular phone.

According to Balano, the suspect is a drug surrenderee and was arrested for the same violation in 2015. He was released last February 2019 after a plea bargain.

Meanwhile, the Panitan police arrested Siegfred Tomasa, 19, of Brgy. Adlawan here in another drug bust at Brgy. Salocon.

Recovered from Tomasa were 4 sachets of suspected shabu, P500 marked money, cellular phone, and a motorcycle.

Tomasa is a Grade 12 student in a school here.
