Two nabbed in Capiz drug busts

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two persons were arrested in two drug buy-bust operations on Monday here and in Dao town.

Five sachets of suspected shabu were recovered in the operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-Capiz) on Chico Street, Barangay Tiza, Roxas City.

Also recovered from Lindsey Bayot were several drug paraphernalia, cellphone, and P500 marked money.

The operation was conducted after a report to the ‘Isumbong Mo Sa PDEA’ Hotline revealed the alleged illegal activities of Bayot.

Meanwhile, a former inmate is back in jail again after he was caught in another drug buy-bust at Barangay Nasunugan, Dao, Capiz.

Police identified the suspect as Roy Salvador, 53, of Barangay Balucuan also in Dao.

Recovered from Salvador were 2 sachets of suspected shabu worth P13,600, P1,000 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

The suspect was arrested for the same offense in 2015 and was released after availing of a plea bargaining agreement.

The two will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
