Two Nabbed for Illegal Firearms Sale

ROXAS CITY, Capiz—Two men from Poblacion Norte, Ivisan, Capiz, were arrested for illegal firearm possession during a buy-bust operation on Friday afternoon, January 24.
The suspects were identified as Rogel Undalo, 23, of Barangay Agustin Navarra, and Manuel Ubandag, 40, a government employee and resident of Barangay Malocloc Sur, both in Ivisan.
They were caught selling a .45-caliber pistol without a serial number to a police poseur-buyer from the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU). The transaction involved PHP 10,500 in buy-bust money.
Recovered from the suspects were two magazines for a .45-caliber pistol and six live .22-caliber pistol rounds.
Charges for violating Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, and the Commission on Elections (Comelec) gun ban will be filed against the suspects. They are currently detained at the Ivisan Municipal Police Station.
