BACOLOD City – Two motorcycle riders died while another was injured after they figured in separate road accidents in Negros Occidental this week.
In Bago City, John Rey Pronda, 21, of Crossing Proper Pulupandan town, succumbed to severe head injuries after his motorcycle reportedly sideswiped a pile of rocks at Barangay Calumangan last Tuesday, based on police’s initial investigation.
The scene was undergoing road rehabilitation.
Pronda was declared dead at the hospital.
In Cadiz City, Darwin Cayao, 36, of Barangay Luna, died while his companion Rene Encarnacion, 29 was wounded in another accident at Barangay Daga last Monday, according to Master Sergeant John Aldrich Lucero, chief investigator of Cadiz City Police Station.
Investigation indicated that Cayao lost control of his bike which led to the accident.
Lucero said both of victims suffered head injuries that led to Cayao’s death while Encarnacion is scheduled for CT scan.
