Two fugitives listed among the most wanted persons in Western Visayas were arrested in separate police operations on October 20.
Police identified the suspects as alias Totik, a 50-year-old farmer from Sitio Igbiri, Barangay Bugo, San Remigio, Antique, and alias John, 35, of Barangay Sta. Rita, Janiuay, Iloilo.
Members of the San Remigio Municipal Police Station, together with personnel from the 1st Antique Provincial Mobile Force Company (APMFC) and the Regional Intelligence Unit 6–Provincial Intelligence Team (RIU6 PIT) Antique, apprehended Totik at his residence around 9:25 a.m. Monday.
He was arrested by virtue of a warrant for grave threats in relation to Sections 28(a) and 29 of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Totik is listed as the seventh most wanted person in Antique province and the topmost wanted in San Remigio town.
Meanwhile, alias John was captured at 1:33 p.m. in Barangay Don T. Lutero Center, Janiuay.
The arrest was carried out by personnel from the Janiuay Municipal Police Station, the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) Special Operations Group (SOG) Team 2, the 2nd Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company (IPMFC), and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 6’s 603rd Company.
John was arrested by virtue of a warrant for rape by carnal knowledge under Article 266-A, Paragraph 1 of the Revised Penal Code, as amended, in relation to Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
The arrest warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 76, Janiuay, Iloilo, on October 16, 2025.
No bail was recommended for his temporary release.
John is ranked as the fifth most wanted person in Iloilo province and the second most wanted in Janiuay town.
