Two men were arrested in separate gun raids early on the morning of June 11.
Rodolfo Pescador, 69, and Ariel Olio were apprehended following the serving of search warrants at their respective homes.
Pescador was arrested at 4:10 a.m. Tuesday in Barangay Ayangan, Sibunag, Guimaras.
Members of the Sibunag Municipal Police Station, along with the Guimaras Police Provincial Office – Provincial Intelligence Unit (GPPO-PIU), seized a caliber .357 Magnum revolver loaded with three rounds of ammunition and a caliber .38 revolver from his house.
Meanwhile, the search operation against Olio took place at 6:05 a.m. in Barangay San Dionisio, San Rafael, Iloilo.
Officers of the San Rafael Municipal Police Station executed Search Warrant No. 2024-11 against the suspect. Police operatives recovered a pistolized 12-gauge shotgun loaded with a single round of ammunition.
The two suspects are now detained and will be charged with violating Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
