Two kins, pal nabbed for stealing P105,000 worth of cable wires

BACOLOD City – Three persons, including two relatives, are facing theft charges after they were caught in the act by police allegedly stealing P105,000 worth of cable wires along Lacson Streets, Barangay 9 here last Thursday.
Arrested were Charlie Caldea, 28, and relatives Christopher Uy, 37, a fish vendor, and Elias Grajo, 21, a tricycle driver, all residents of Barangay Mandalagan here.
Police Captain Jonito Pastrana, head of Police Station 2, said that policemen were conducting a roving patrol when they sighted the three suspects allegedly cutting the copper wires of a telecommunications firm.
Confiscated from them were a saw, a tricycle, and the stolen wires.
Pastrana said they are verifying with other police stations here if these persons were also those responsible in previous theft cases.
