Police identified the fatalities as Dazel John Nimes, and Christian Alati-it, both Grade 4 pupils and residents of the said village.
Police Corporal Ivy Alvarez, investigator of Talisay City Police Station, said the victims went to the swamp with their 8-year-old companion and decided to swim.
However, the victims’ companion left them when his father called him to go home.
After learning that the kids went swimming alone, their parents looked for them.
But they were found floating in the 7-foot deep swamp few minutes later.
