BACOLOD City – Two persons were injured after they figured in stabbing and shooting incidents at Barangay Granada here Thursday night.
Wounded were Juan (not his real name), an alleged mentally ill man; and Ereneo Laurilla, a village watchman, according to police.
Based on a report from Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), Juan allegedly stabbed Laurilla with a bread knife for still unknown reasons while the latter was texting near the guard house.
The incident prompted Reylan Silvino, 25, also a village watchman, to allegedly shoot Juan with an improvised firearm.
Laurilla and Juan were taken to a hospital, while Silvino is detained at Police Station 5.
Police recovered from the scene the weapons used in the incident.
