Two hurt in fiesta shooting

BACOLOD City – Two persons were wounded after they were shot during the fiesta of Barangay San Isidro Proper, E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental Sunday.
Police identified the victims as Gervasio Lamoyo, 43, and Noel Pastrana, 48, both residents of the said village.
Investigation showed that the victims were at the house of a certain Maribel Villaruel when the suspect identified as Albert Malihoc, 31, of Barangay Canlusong forcibly entered the gate and allegedly shot at them using an unknown firearm.
Both victims suffered gunshot wounds on their right knee and right leg, respectively. They were brought to a hospital in Silay City.
Prior to the incident, the suspects group and the victims relatives reportedly figured in a commotion while celebrating the fiesta of the village which may have triggered the shooting.
Malihuc was later arrested and detained at E.B. Magalona Municipal Police Station.
