BACOLOD City – Two persons, including a police officer were wounded after they figured in a brief chase during a buy-bust operation at Purok Hervias 2, Barangay Villamonte here last Tuesday.
Police Captain John Christopher Masangkay, head of Police Station 5, said they conducted the operation against the subject Riezlyn Silos, 32, of the said village, and her companion Raymund Parcon, 35, of Barangay Mandalagan here.
But Parcon reportedly tried to evade the operatives, prompting the latter to chase him.
One of the officers caught up with Parcon, but they both fell to the ground as they grappled, causing them injuries.
Masangkay said that Silos and Parcon were alleged street-level individuals.
One of them had a previous case for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, but police are still validating the information, according to Masangkay.
Police recovered from them 21 grams of suspected shabu worth P142,800, and the P500 marked money.
