ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two houses were completely burned while another was partially damaged by a fire of unknown origin early Tuesday morning, July 16, 2024, in Poblacion Norte Sigma, Capiz.
The houses destroyed belonged to Diose Natal Jr. and Edwardo Azarcon Jr., while the partially burned house was owned by Lourdes Azarcon.
According to SFO4 Rayman Vela, municipal fire marshal of the Sigma Fire Station, the fire started around 12:31 a.m. and spread quickly due to strong winds.
The fire reached the second alarm and took two hours of firefighting before it was declared out.
Fire trucks and volunteers from the Ivisan and Dao Municipal Fire Stations assisted in extinguishing the blaze. No injuries were reported.
The houses were made of mixed light materials.
The Sigma Fire Station is currently investigating the incident to determine the extent of the damages and the cause of the fire.
