Two girls drown in Kabankalan river
BACOLOD City – Two girls drowned to their deaths in a river in Barangay Orong, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental last Saturday. Police withheld the name of the minor-victims aged 10. Police Lieutenant Colonel John Joel Batusbatusan, city police chief, said the children attended a family day at the barangay’s covered court.

BACOLOD City – Two girls drowned to their deaths in a river in Barangay Orong, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental last Saturday.
Police withheld the name of the minor-victims aged 10.
Police Lieutenant Colonel John Joel Batusbatusan, city police chief, said the children attended a family day at the barangay’s covered court.
However, the two victims reportedly dropped by the river after the said activity, he added.
They went swimming in the river where the incident happened.
“Aksidente lang gid. Nalumos sila,” Batusbatusan said.
They were brought to a hospital but were declared dead on arrival.
