ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The two persons who were arrested in a police drug buy-bust operation over the weekend in Pontevedra, Capiz, were formally charged for alleged illegal drug pushing.
Charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) were filed Tuesday afternoon before the Provincial Prosecutors Office against Reniel Aguirre of Barangay Amaga, Sigma and Zoren Chris Sanchez of Barangay Bato, Panay, Capiz.
The two were arrested by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Pontevedra Municipal Police Station in a drug buy bust operation.
The buy-bust was conducted at Barangay Sublangon in Pontevedra.
Police recovered from the suspects 11 sachets of suspected shabu, a weighing scale, a cellular phone, and a Mitsubishi L300 van.
The estimated street value of the recovered illegal drugs was P68,000. The suspects are detained at Pontevedra Municipal Police Station.
