ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two persons were arrested in separate drug buy-busts here and in Pontevedra town.
16 sachets of suspected illegal drugs were seized by police from a drug surrenderee Tuesday afternoon at Gabuan village here.
The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) collared Jeric Clarito, 37, of Dumolog here.
An undercover police asset bought from Clarito a sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P1,000.
Police later recovered from Clarito 16 more sachets of the same drug.
Authorities have yet to determine the value of the recovered items.
Clarito was a drug surrenderrer in Gabuan but he allegedly returned to drug peddling right after yielding.
The suspect is presently detained at the Roxas City police station while charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002) were filed against the suspect.
Meanwhile, a 32-year-old man from Pontevedra town was arrested in a drug bust operation conducted by the police Monday afternoon in Sigma.
The joint team of Sigma, Sapian, Mambusao Municipal Police Stations and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit collared Joed Valle of Guba, Pontevedra at Malapad Cogon village, Sigma.
Recovered from the suspect were 9 plastic sachets of suspected shabu, a cellphone, P1,000 marked money, a motorcycle, and several drug paraphernalia.
The suspect is presently detained at Sigma Municipal Police Station.
