Two fall for unlicensed gun

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A security guard and another person were arrested by police in an illegal gun sting operation Monday at Brgy. 5 here.
Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Capiz nabbed Edilberto Villarino, 27, of Brgy. Baybay and Jason Dy, 29, of Brgy. Punta Tabuc, here after allegedly selling a shotgun.
Recovered from the suspects were a short barreled 12-gauge shotgun, fake bills used as marked money, and a cellphone.
The two denied they were engaged in illegal gun trade.
Villarino said he was asked by a friend to deliver the firearm because the buyer will use it for securing his fishponds.
Dy, on the other hand, was also asked by a friend to receive the money.
The two are presently detained at the CIDG-Capiz Field Office and will be charged for violation of the Comprehensive Firearm and Ammunition Law.
