BACOLOD City – Two persons who were previously jailed for a drug offense are back behind bars following their arrest in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 2, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental last Sunday.
The suspects were identified as Oscar Siroy Jr., 30; and Mariel Paslon, 24, both residents of Barangay 6.
Police seized from them 26 grams of suspected shabu worth P176,800, the P600 marked money, P500, lighter, aluminum foil, and tooter.
Both suspects are street-level individuals, according to the police.
Police Captain Ruby Aurita, public information officer of San Carlos City Police Station, said that Paslon was arrested in 2020, while Siroy was apprehended in 2021.
Both were later released through plea bargaining, according to Aurita.
Aurita said the suspects allegedly returned to the illegal drug trade and even partnered in the said business.
