Two ex-convicts were arrested in a police anti-narcotics operation shortly evening of June 26, 2023 in Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
Arrested were Efren Fabrigar Jr., 40, of Barangay Bagombong, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo and Rem Glenn Villaluna, 37, of Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
Members of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) 6, together with the Iloilo City Police Station 5, nabbed Fabrigar and Villaluna in a buy-bust operation at Jalandoni Extension in Barangay Bolilao, Mandurriao.
Fabrigar and Villaluna allegedly conspired in selling a sachet of suspected shabu for P10,000 to a police poseur-buyer
Following their arrest, police recovered three sachets and two knot-tied plastic bags from Villaluna’s possession and a sachet from Fabrigar, two mobile phones, cut brown paper, sling bag, wallet, P470 cash, a Honda Click motorcycle, and other non-drug items.
Captain Glenn Soliman, RPDEU-6 chief, said the seized drugs weighed around 67 grams with a standard drug price value of P455,600.
The two suspects are both considered high-value individuals (HVIs) and are on the regional priority list.
Meanwhile, Fabrigar admitted to using illegal drugs but denied he was into the illegal drug trade.
The two suspects are now detained and charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
