Two electrocuted while hanging laundry in Hinoba-an
BACOLOD CITY – A house helper and a painter died after being electrocuted in Barangay Talacagay, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental, on Thursday morning. Police Maj. Jaynick Bermudez, chief of the Hinoba-an Municipal Police Station, said the 36-year-old helper from Basay, Negros Oriental, was doing laundry at her employer’s home around 10 a.m.

BACOLOD CITY – A house helper and a painter died after being electrocuted in Barangay Talacagay, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental, on Thursday morning.
Police Maj. Jaynick Bermudez, chief of the Hinoba-an Municipal Police Station, said the 36-year-old helper from Basay, Negros Oriental, was doing laundry at her employer’s home around 10 a.m. when the incident occurred.
She was electrocuted while hanging wet clothes on a clothesline that was in contact with an exposed live wire.
The electrocution happened during rainy weather.
A 40-year-old painter from Hinoba-an, who worked at a nearby mechanic shop, rushed to assist the woman but was also electrocuted.
Both victims were taken to a hospital but were declared dead on arrival.
