BACOLOD City – Two persons were dead in separate incidents in Negros Occidental last Sunday.
In La Castellana town, Tito Arturo, 41, of Barangay Cabacungan was allegedly stabbed dead by 37-year-old Leonard Espadera at the said village.
Police said Arturo and Espadera were in a funeral wake when the former teased the latter.
Espadera went home, took a bolo, and returned to the wake, where he allegedly hacked Arturo’s abdomen.
Police recovered the bolo from the crime. The suspect was later arrested by the police.
In Ilog town, Vincent Flores, 23, of Barangay Dancalan died after he was allegedly hit by Genesis Villaruz with a rock while they were walking to a store.
Flores and Villacruz, who were both drunk, went to buy another bottle of liquor when the attack happened for still unknown reasons.
Flores died in a hospital while Villaruz surrendered to barangay officials and was later taken to the police station.
