ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 44-year-old government employee and a civilian died in separate road accidents Tuesday evening here and in Dumalag town.
George Mapa of Brgy. ll here died after his motorcycle crashed into a car he was tailing at Kilometer 2, Barangay Lawaan.
According to car driver Kenneth Buñi, 19, of Graceville Subdivision in Barangay Tiza here, he suddenly stopped after the car ahead of him also stopped.
He later heard a loud crash in the rear part of his car caused by Mapa’s motorcycle.
Mapa was rushed to Capiz Doctor’s Hospital but the attending physician declared him dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, Joeffry Alvarez, a resident of Barangay Alimono, Passi City, Iloilo also died in a motorcycle crash Tuesday evening at Barangay Duran, Dumalag.
Alvarez lost control of his bike while negotiating a curve.
The drunken victim died at Tapaz District Hospital.
