TWO suspected drug peddlers were arrested in an anti-drug operation in a motel in La Paz, Iloilo City early morning of July 22, 2019.
Police identified the suspects as Rolly Boy Castor and Jaypee Fernando, both residents of Barangay Baldoza, La Paz.
Members of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit collared the duo after placing their “order” 4:30 a.m. Monday inside The Q Motel.
The suspects yielded 23 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P109,000. Police also recovered the P9,000 marked money.
Fernando allegedly admitted to the police that he sold drugs, claiming that he was a newbie in the trade.
He claimed to have been selling for three months, usually inside motels.
Fernando, however, claimed he could not identify his supplier because the latter always wears a mask when delivering shabu.
Castor, on the other hand, claimed that he merely accompanied Fernando.
Nonetheless, both of them will still be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
