Two City Hall employees nabbed for ‘gun-running’

BACOLOD City – The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-Bacolod arrested two casual employees of the Himamaylan City government in Negros Occidental for alleged gun-running activities.
Arrested in an entrapment operation at Barangay Su-ay last Friday were Rey Vinson, 57; and Edgar Villaluna, 50, both residents of the said village.
CIDG operatives recovered from the duo were the P100 marked money, P17,900 boodle money, a .45 caliber pistol, a magazine, and three live ammunition.
Police Chief Master Sergeant Ramiro Gocotano, CIDG-Bacolod head, said that the suspects failed to show pertinent documents authorizing them to possess or sell the said firearm.
Both are now under the custody of CIDG- Bacolod and were charged for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
