ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two drug surrenderers who were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation on Saturday at Brgy. Lawaan here were formally charged before the Roxas City Prosecutor’s Office.
Rowel Gerapusco 59, of Brgy. Lawaan and Seijie Elison, 38, of Hemingway St., Barangay 11 are facing a case for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Mark Anthony Darroca, team leader of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU), said the suspects yielded 11 sachets of suspected shabu and the P14,700 marked money.
The suspected illegal drugs weighed 20 grams and was valued at P136,000.
The operation was jointly conducted by the RDEU and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) in cooperation with the Roxas City Police Station.
