ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Two persons were arrested in a police drug buy-bust operation Saturday afternoon in Pontevedra, Capiz.
The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Pontevedra Municipal Police Station collared Reniel Aguirre of Barangay Amaga, Sigma and Zoren Chris Sanchez of Barangay Bato, Panay.
The buy-bust was conducted at Barangay Sublangon in Pontevedra.
Police recovered from the suspects 11 sachets of suspected shabu, a weighing scale, a cellular phone and a Mitsubishi L300 van.
The estimated street value of the recovered illegal drugs was P68,000.
Charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) will be filed against the suspects who are detained at Pontevedra Municipal Police Station.
