ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Two drivers in Capiz may face the revocation of their driver’s licenses after they tested positive for methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, in confirmatory drug tests.
Jury Rocamora, provincial officer of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Capiz, said their office has already sent a letter to the Land Transportation Office regarding the confirmatory test results of the two drivers.
Rocamora said one of the drivers is from Maayon town, while the other is from Lawaan in Roxas City.
The two individuals initially tested positive for illegal drug use during a surprise drug test conducted Monday morning, March 30, 2026, at the Roxas City Integrated Transport Terminal.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, in coordination with the Philippine National Police, the Land Transportation Office, and other government agencies, conducted Oplan Harabas, a surprise drug screening for drivers and conductors.
Authorities tested 205 individuals during the operation.
Of those screened, two drivers — a tricycle driver and a traditional jeepney driver — yielded positive results for methamphetamine, commonly known as shabu.
The activity formed part of PDEA’s anti-drug campaign targeting the transport sector.
