Two boys hurt in President Roxas fire

PRESIDENT ROXAS, Capiz — A 3-year-old boy and another minor were injured after their house was razed by fire on Friday night, Jan. 2, in Sitio Swa C, Barangay Poblacion.
The Bureau of Fire Protection in President Roxas identified the victims as alias Mark and alias Ian.
Authorities said alias Mark noticed the fire at around 8 p.m. and immediately reported it to local authorities.
Firefighters, assisted by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, declared the fire under control at around 8:40 p.m.
The house, made of light and semi-concrete materials, sustained an estimated damage of PHP 150,000.
Arson investigators have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
Police said the two children were inside the house at the time of the incident.
Both were taken to Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained on different parts of their bodies.
