Police served an arrest warrant for rape through sexual assault under the second paragraph of Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act No. 8353 or The Anti-Rape Law of 1997, against the suspect.
The warrant was issued by the presiding judge of the Family Court, Branch 9 in Bago City, with bail recommended at PHP 180,000, according to the Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR).
The suspect was listed as the fifth, third, and second most wanted person at the regional, provincial, and city levels, respectively.
Police Lt. Col. Joem Malong, PRO-NIR spokesperson, said the suspect was also served with another arrest warrant for statutory rape, with no bail recommended.
