DUMARAO, Capiz A 50-year-old man from San Enrique, Iloilo died after a truck ran over his motorcycle morning of Jan 2, 2019 at Poblacion Ilawod in Dumarao, Capiz.
The victim was identified as Wilfredo Pasig, 50, and resident of San Enrique, Iloilo while the suspect was identified as Edmundo Santarito, 40, and resident of Barangay Nasungi, Dingle, Iloilo,
According to SPO4 Jose Sonny Jiez, deputy police chief of Dumarao PNP, Santarito did not notice the truck ahead of him. The victim suddenly applied the brake of the motorcycle but it was too late as he slammed and went under the vehicle.
The victim suffered fatal injuries in the head and body. He died at the Dao District Hospital.
The truck driver voluntarily surrendered to Dumarao police station.
