Trip.com Group received two major honors from Philippine Airlines at the 2024 PAL Awards, reinforcing their strong industry partnership.
The global travel services provider was recognized with the Top Performer Award and the Chairman’s Circle Club Award, both celebrating the company’s sales performance and service excellence.
The Top Performer Award named Trip.com Group as a leading online travel agency partner, citing its significant contributions to PAL’s bookings and customer satisfaction.
The Chairman’s Circle Club Award, one of PAL’s highest distinctions, recognized Trip.com as a standout across all sales channels.
“We are incredibly honoured to be recognised by Philippine Airlines with not just one, but two prestigious awards,” said CT Ooi, associate vice president at Trip.com Group.
“These accolades are a testament to the strength of our partnership and our shared commitment to delivering seamless, world-class travel experiences for customers. We look forward to continuing our successful collaboration with PAL as we connect more travellers to and from the Philippines,” he added.
Capt. Stanley Ng, president and chief operating officer of Philippine Airlines, praised Trip.com’s impact on PAL’s growth.
“Trip.com Group has consistently demonstrated excellence in driving bookings and supporting our mission to bring the warmth of Filipino hospitality to the skies,” Ng said.
“Their innovative approach and strong engagement with customers have made them an invaluable partner. We are delighted to celebrate their achievements through these awards.”
In 2024, bookings through Trip.com’s Philippine platform surged more than 300% compared to the previous year.
Top destinations among Filipino travelers included mainland China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan and South Korea.
With PAL restarting direct flights between Manila and Beijing, travel between China and the Philippines is projected to increase further this year.
Vietnam is also growing in popularity, with PAL launching Cebu-Ho Chi Minh City flights in May 2025 and Manila-Da Nang flights in July 2025.
The PAL Awards ceremony gathered senior executives from both companies, including Capt. Ng, PAL CFO Anna Isabel Bengzon, and Trip.com’s Jeff Wang and Llywi Prado, reflecting the strategic value of the partnership.
