A ‘3-in-1’ expo that has been running for almost 30 years launched its local version in Iloilo City on Thursday, promising the best in the building, travel and tourism, and food and beverage business sectors in Western Visayas and beyond.
The Philippine Building and Construction Exposition (PhilBex) Iloilo, Travel and Leisure Expo (TLEx) Iloilo, and Iloilo Food and Beverages Exposition (Ifbex) were inaugurated at the Iloilo Convention Center (ICON) on Thursday, July 13.
More than 130 exhibitors from businesses in the construction and design, tourism industry, and food and beverage industries are on ICON’s convention floor to showcase products including cement, wall tiles, locks, rechargeable lights, paint, hotel stays, restaurant menus, tour packages, condiments, food packaging, among many others.
This is the first iteration of the events headed by WorldBex Services International (WSI) which started the event series in Manila back in 1996 and has since expanded into other business sectors and in areas of the Philippines including Cebu and Davao.
The four-day event is organized in partnership with the Iloilo City Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE) Center.
WSI President Joseph Ang said that the three events are united to showcase local and international innovations in the Western Visayas region.
“These three world-class expositions serve as a testament to the indomitable spirit of human innovations and our relentless pursuit of progress. As we step foot into the vibrant spaces of the Iloilo Convention Center, you will be transported into a world where imagination knows no limits. Every corner reveals a new discovery, a fresh perspective, and a glimpse into the future,” Ang said.
“PhilBex, Ifbex, and TLEx provides a platform for artists, inventors, chefs, and pioneers to share their creations, ideas, and stories, not just to our country, but also to the world,” he added.
Iloilo City MICE Center Director Salvador Sarabia, representing Mayor Jerry Treñas, said that these events are the perfect opportunity for Ilonggo business to showcase their offerings to domestic and foreign visitors.
“I am truly grateful to Worldbex Services International for bringing these remarkable events to our city. They have provided a platform for our local businesses to flourish, expand their networks, and contribute to our city’s growth,” the mayor’s message stated, as read by Sarabia.
“To all our visitors and guests, I encourage you to make the most of these expos. There is a wealth of knowledge and inspiration awaiting you. Take this opportunity to learn, network, and explore the endless possibilities that lie before us,” it added.
The three events are being held at the ICON’s Halls A to D, and will run until this Sunday, July 16.
