ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A tricycle driver was arrested Friday afternoon, February 7, in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) at Sitio Takas in Barangay Adlawan here.
Arvin Jeric Torres, 27, of Barangay Banica here did not resist when the police operatives collared him.
Recovered from the suspect were 24 sachets of suspected shabu, P1,000 marked money, and a tricycle.
According to Police Lieutenant Mark Anthony Garcia, PDEU team leader, Torres has been the talk of the town because of his alleged illegal activities.
Garcia said another suspected peddler tagged Torres in the illicit trade.
Torres is presently detained at the police station while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 are being readied against him.
