ROXAS CITY, Capiz— A 26-year-old “habal-habal” driver was arrested for illegal drug possession Wednesday evening at Brgy. Dulangan Pilar, Capiz.
The Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit led by Police Lieutenant Mark Anthony Garcia and cluster Station Drug Enforcement Team of Pilar, Pres. Roxas, and Pontevedra Municipal Police Stations nabbed Joemarie Baltar of Brgy. Carmencita President Roxas, Capiz.
Recovered from Baltar were 15 sachets of suspected shabu, P500 marked money, a cellphone, a bag, a disposable lighter, and a motorcycle.
Police said the seized drugs weighed 5 grams and valued at P10,000.
Meanwhile, police on Thursday filed charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002) against former kagawad Cesar Dice, 49, of Brgy. Timpas, Panitan, Capiz.
The charges were filed before the Provincial Prosecutors Office.
Dice was arrested for allegedly possessing 10 sachets of suspected shabu.
