A former tricycle driver was arrested in a police anti-narcotics operation afternoon of May 30, 2021 in Pototan, Iloilo.
Police identified the suspect as William Labaro, 41, a resident of Barangay Bagacay, Pototan, where he also resides.
Members of Pototan Police Station and the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit Team 2 nabbed Labaro after allegedly selling a sachet of suspect shabu for P1,200.
Recovered from the suspect were four sachets of suspected shabu, a mobile phone, and a matchbox.
Major Ciriaco Esquilarga, Pototan police chief, said the seized substance was valued at P18,000.
He said they have been monitoring the suspect for about a month prior to his arrest.
Labaro is now detained and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9166 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
